3 killed in accident

Hoshiarpur, May 15
Three persons were killed and five others, including a child, were seriously wounded in two separate road accidents in the district today. Three persons, two of whom were identified as Vikar Singh of Naru Nangal, Narinder Singh of Gondpur, died on the spot when their Maruti car No PB-24-0477 collided head-on with a Punjab Roadways bus No PB-06G-9576 at Haripur on Hoshiarpur-Chandigarh road this evening.

The third person has not been identified yet. The Chabbewal police has sent the bodies to the local Civil Hospital for the post-mortem examination. In another accident, five persons including two women and a child of Adampur were seriously wounded when their Indica car collided head-on with a truck near Nasrala this afternoon. All injured were admitted to the local Civil Hospital from where were referred to a Jalandhar hospital. — OC
