‘BJP politics opportunistic’

Paramjeet Singh Pamma of the Congress party alleged that the BJP has “not done anything for the riot victims”, and has only “scratched their wounds”. Addressing a meeting in Namdhari Colony in support of the Congress candidate for the Assembly election, Shriram Maggo, Pamma said the BJP only raises the issue of rehabilitation of the riot victims prior to the elections.

Inaugurating a workshop at the School of Communication and Cine Arts at sector- 47 here, the noted theatre personality, Mr M.K Raina, expressed his anguish that “projecting the glamorous lifestyle of small percentage of the population has become the predominant theme of the electronic media. On the other hand, 80 per cent of the people living in the rural and semi-urban areas were being ignored, he lamented. He said this media was focussed on the glitz and glamour while failing to touch the masses.
