Cong worker joins BJP
Chandigarh, March 28
Concerns of the traders were voiced at a meeting of the Traders Cell of the Bharatiya Janata Party held here today.
The meeting was addressed by Mr Amrit Goyal, president of the cell, Mr Ravi Prakash Kansal and Mr Rohit Sood. The party also organised a meeting of ex-servicemen at Ram Darbar.
Development has to begin from rural areas

Four years gone, she still hopes
for husband’s return

For Mrs Neeta Sharma, a resident of Phase 3B1, here hope is not just a word. It is the feeling that has helped her and her two children survive life which seemed to have come to an end when her husband Parveen Sharma, a lawyer, went missing in February, 2000.
Even four years later, the police has no clue about where this 36-year-old young advocate who had worked at the Punjab and Haryana High Court is.

Chaudhary elected Press Club president

In a close contest, Ramesh Chaudhary has been elected president of the Chandigarh Press Club in the elections held here today. He defeated Raveen Thukral by a margin of eight votes. Chaudhary polled 181 votes.
