Rainfall: Weather was mainly dry over the region.

Temperatures: Past 24 hours change: Maximum temperatures changed little. Departures: They were markedly above normal in Jammu and Kashmir and east Uttar Pradesh, appreciably above normal in Himachal Pradesh, west Uttar Pradesh and Uttaranchal and normal in the rest of the region. The highest temperature in the region was 42.4°C recorded at Gorakhpur (Uttar Pradesh).

Past 24 hours change: Minimum temperatures rose in Himachal Pradesh and changed little elsewhere. Departures: They were above normal in Himachal Pradesh, east Uttar Pradesh and Uttaranchal and normal in the rest of the region. The lowest temperature in the plains was 11.2°C recorded at Adampur (Punjab).

Forecast valid until the morning of March 30: Rain or snow is likely at isolated places in Himachal Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir. Weather will be mainly dry in the rest of the region.
