Sarna denies hospital ownership change: Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee
(DSGMC) chief Paramjit Singh Sarna said there had been no transfer of ownership of the DSGMC hospital on Gurdwara Bala Sahib premises in New Delhi. He refuted all the allegations in this regard. He said the DSGMC under him has been managing the gurdwara affairs in the capital with complete transparency. Ludhiana
2 more dengue cases: Two more cases of dengue were confirmed in Ludhiana today, taking the total number of cases reported this season to 204.
Two other cases were confirmed in other districts — one each in Sangrur and
Hoshiarpur.

Life term for two for killing youth: District and Sessions Judge Gurvinder Singh Gill has sentenced two persons found guilty of killing a 23-year-old youth at Anandpur Sahib last year to life imprisonment. The accused were also slapped a fine of Rs 10,000. On February 2 last year, Rajesh Kumar alias Bunty of Mohalla Rodiwalla was found murdered in his shop. Six persons Lokesh Kumar alias Shanga, Neeraj Kumar alias Gaggu, Randhir Ghai, Malkit Singh Malli, Jaswant Singh Nadda and a minor boy were nabbed. Gaggu and Randhir were sentenced to life imprisonment while Malli and Nadda were acquitted. The minor boy is facing a juvenile court and Shanga has been declared a proclaimed offender.Sangrur
Traders protest move to demolish shops: Shopkeepers at the Gaushala road on Wednesday kept their shops closed for few hours in protest against the proposed demolition of structures erected on government land. The local civic body had issued a public notice in this regard a few days ago. In its notice, the Municipal Council has asked them to remove such shops till December 27.
