The science stream students’ of the local Government Senior Secondary School, Devinder Singh and Amandeep, under the guidance of Lecturer Guneet Kaur in Physics brought laurels to the district by bagging second position at the state level science fair held at Baba Farid Institute Deon (Bathinda) recently.

NGO urges CM to take steps to curb eve-teasing
Nawanshahr, December 9
The District Level NGOs Coordination Society, UPKAR, which has brought the Nawanshahr on the national map for its concerted efforts against the foeticide, condemned the murder of ASI Ravinderpal Singh at executive meeting today. An official from the NGO said, “Earlier, the Shruti Case of Faridkot shocked the society. Such incidents are on rise, consequently creating a fear psychosis among the parents over the security of their girls.”

The science stream students’ of the local Government Senior Secondary School, Devinder Singh and Amandeep, under the guidance of Lecturer Guneet Kaur in Physics brought laurels to the district by bagging second position at the state level science fair held at Baba Farid Institute Deon (Bathinda) recently.

Besides, the project was selected for the North India Science Fair 2012 -13 scheduled to be organised by National Science Centre, New Delhi, from December 10 to 12.

NGO urges CM to take steps to curb eve-teasing

Nawanshahr, December 9
The District Level NGOs Coordination Society, UPKAR, which has brought the Nawanshahr on the national map for its concerted efforts against the foeticide, condemned the murder of ASI Ravinderpal Singh at executive meeting today.

An official from the NGO said, “Earlier, the Shruti Case of Faridkot shocked the society. Such incidents are on rise, consequently creating a fear psychosis among the parents over the security of their girls.” NGO urged the CM to take steps to curb the menace of eve teasing by ensuring security at the educational institutions.—OC
