Flesh trade racket busted
Tarn Taran, November 6
A team of the district police has busted a flesh trade racket by arresting its three members, including two women, from the town . The accused have been identified as Gurjinder Kaur, alias Bholi, a married woman, a resident of the local Mohalla Jaswant Singh, besides Kuljit Kaur of Verowal village and Harjinder Singh of the Jandiala Guru township .

Gold chain, cash, mobile phone snatched
Hoshiarpur, November 6
Robbers snatched a gold chain, Rs 1,000 and a mobile phone from Karuna Dogra of Bahadurpur and Kamla Devi of Ish Nagar in two separate incidents.

4 held with intoxicants
Amritsar, November 6
Three persons have been arrested for possessing narcotics in separate incidents. According to information, Akash Khosla, resident of Jalandhar, was arrested with 150 gm of intoxicant powder.

Flesh trade racket busted

A team of the district police has busted a flesh trade racket by arresting its three members, including two women, from the town.

The accused have been identified as Gurjinder Kaur, alias Bholi, a married woman, a resident of the local Mohalla Jaswant Singh, besides Kuljit Kaur of Verowal village and Harjinder Singh of the Jandiala Guru township.

Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Kamaljit Singh Dhillon said that on a tip-off, a team of the district police, headed by Daljit Singh Dhillon, DSP, sub-division, raided the house of the accused Gurjinder Kaur, who was running the racket.

A case has been registered in this regard.

Gold chain, cash, mobile phone snatched

Hoshiarpur, November 6
Robbers snatched a gold chain, Rs 1,000 and a mobile phone from Karuna Dogra of Bahadurpur and Kamla Devi of Ish Nagar in two separate incidents.

According to the police, Karuna Dogra was returning to her house in a rickshaw. On the way three motorcycle-borne miscreants snatched a gold chain from her and fled away.

In another incident, two motorcycle-borne youths snatched a purse containing Rs 1,000 and a mobile phone from Kamla Devi while she was going to a market and fled away.

The city police has registered a case under Sections 382 and 34 of the IPC.

4 held with intoxicants

Amritsar, November 6
Three persons have been arrested for possessing narcotics in separate incidents.

According to information, Akash Khosla, resident of Jalandhar, was arrested with 150 gm of intoxicant powder.

Sachin, resident of Ferozepur, was arrested for possessing 150 gm of intoxicant powder. Cases were registered against them under the NDPS Act at the E-Division police station.
Gaurav, alias Tinku, resident of Majitha Road, was arrested by the Sadar police, which recovered 200 capsules of Parvon Spas, 12 boxes of wine, cash and an Accent car (PB-10-BA 9164) from him.

Meanwhile, the C-Division police has recovered nine bottles of illicit liquor from Nand Lal, resident of the local Noori Mohalla. He has been booked under the Excise Act.
