NRI's kin allege threats by proclaimed offender
Gurdaspur, October 31 Parkash Kaur, Gurinder Singh Gill's mother, claimed that despite the fact that over a year had elapsed since her son was done to death, the police had yet to arrest one of the main accused,Yadvinder Singh Bhullar. Incidentally, Bhullar has been declared a proclaimed offender (PO) by the Batala police. All other accused, including Rajbir Singh Bhullar, a BJP municipal councillor from Batala, Jarnail Singh, Rajbir Singh Raju and Sandeep Vijay Singh, are cooling their heels in the Gurdaspur jail. The case is being heard in the court of the District and Sessions Judge and the next date of hearing is slated for tomorrow. — TNS |

Phagwara, October 31 The police also seized 35 grams of heroin and a motorcycle from their possession. HPS Khakh, SP, Phagwara, said the accused were produced before the Phagwara Judicial Magistrate who sent them to judicial jail. — OC |
