Butcher shot at, injured

Nawanshahr, October 22
Four miscreants struck at the house of a butcher Talib Hussain (40) and injured him by firing two shots at him here today.

One of the assailants was identified as Shiv Raj Singh, who was also injured in the incident. He received serious head injuries.

The incident took place on the Panj Roza Peer street, Banga Road. The other miscreants fled from the scene.

Talib, who received bullet injuries, was admitted to Raja Hopital here.

Shiv Raj Singh was brought to the local Civil Hospital, from where he was referred to the PGI, Chandigarh, in the evening.

The police is trying to find out whether it was a case of robbery or old enmity.
