General Aggrawal said in the true traditions of “Seva Tatha Sahayta”, the Corps of Military Police was instrumental in controlling the traffic and allied disciplinary measures of Jalandhar Cantonment. The Jalandhar Garrison was subjected to policing round the clock by the CMP. Besides this, CMP personnel were also deployed for surprise checks at various places to control any malpractices.

The joint checks with the civil police inside the cantonment to control rash and negligent driving had reduced accidents in a big way.

The safety of passengers at the Jalandhar Cantonment railway station had also been ensured and incidents of drugging and thefts had decreased.
