Body builder shot at, injured

Body builder Mukesh Kumar of Piplanwala area was injured when Avtar Singh, owner of a gym at local Arora Complex, shot at him fire near Railway Mandi ground at 6.45 am today. Mukesh Kumar was admitted to the local Civil Hospital.

3 booked for murder
Hoshiarpur, October 4
Numberdar Dalip Chand (80) succumbed to his injuries at the Civil Hospital last night. Following his death, the Sadar police has registered a murder case under Section 302 of the IPC Act against Balbir Chand and his two sons Pawan Kumar and Raman Kumar of the local Naloyian Chowk. 
According to the police sources, Dalip Chand of local Naloyian Chowk went to his fields at 7 PM on Tuesday and did not return in the night. On Wednesday, he was found lying unconscious in the fields. Several marks of injuries were found on his body. He was taken to the local Civil Hospital where he breathed his last breath. It is alleged that there was a land dispute between deceased Dalip Chand and Balbir Chand and his two sons.

Body builder Mukesh Kumar of Piplanwala area was injured when Avtar Singh, owner of a gym at local Arora Complex, shot at him fire near Railway Mandi ground at 6.45 am today. Mukesh Kumar was admitted to the local Civil Hospital.

According to the police sources, a young boy and girl were quarrelling with each other in the park where Mukesh Kumar went for a morning walk. Mukesh tried to stop them. Meanwhile, Avtar shot at him and fled from the scene. Model Town police has registered a case under Section 336 of the IPC Act against Avtar Singh, who was still at large.

3 booked for murder

On the statement of Harminder Singh, a tractor driver of deceased, the police has booked Balbir Chand and his sons. Harminder Singh suspected that the trio might have killed Dalip to grab the land.
