Samrala September 25
The state government is finalising a policy to regularise all unauthorised colonies in Punjab through a one-time settlement scheme, announced Revenue Minister Bikramjit Singh Majithia here today.

Talking to mediapersons at the grain market after attending a function hosted by PAC member Kirpal Singh Khirnia, he said the decision had been taken in view of the fact that unscrupulous colonisers were not providing adequate facilities to the people.

He said after this one-time settlement, no unauthorised colony would be allowed to come up in the state.

Addressing a rally later, he attacked Manpreet Badal, alleging that he had been colluding with the Congress against the SAD-BJP Government. He claimed that the SAD-BJP alliance would sweep the Lok Sabha elections on its development agenda.

He said it was owing to the developement-oriented policies of the government that several Congress and PPP leaders were joining the SAD.

Majithia was welcomed by former Samrala MLA Jagjivan Singh Khirnia. Cabinet Minister Sharanjit Singh Dhillon was among those present on the occasion.
