Chandigarh, September 30
The Haryana Congress today organised a “rosh march” from its head office in Sector 9 here to Haryana Raj Bhawan to highlight the failure of the NDA Government in various fields.

Later, a delegation led by the party President, Mr Bhajan Lal, submitted a memorandum to the President of India through the Haryana Governor, Babu Parmanand. Among the members of the delegation were the Leader of the Opposition Mr Bhupinder Singh Hooda; the Deputy Leader of the Congress Legislature Party, Capt Ajay Singh Yadav; and several party MLAs.

The memorandum accused the NDA Government of making deliberate attempts to weaken various democratic institutions, including the judiciary. It alleged that the BJP was imposing saffron agenda on the country.

Questioning the competence of the Central Government to ensure the security of the nation, the Congress alleged that it was because of the inefficiency of the Vajpayee Government that Pakistan could intrude into Kargil and terrorists could attack Parliament and Akshardham. It also blamed the BJP for the Gujarat riots, attacks on minorities and their institutions.
