A spokesman of the corporation said here today that the process to acquire about 6,500 acres for these projects had already been initiated. He said during the past three years, the corporation had allotted 3847 industrial plots worth about Rs 673 crore. He said prominent companies which were allotted land during this period included Honda Scooters and Motor Cycles, Maruti Udyog, Denso, Norcool, Mitsubishi Electricals, Sunbeam Steels (a company of the Hero-Honda group), Barco, Johnson Matthey, Baxter India Limited, Stanley, Munjal Showa and Musashi Auto.

The corporation was also setting up food parks with the assistance of the Central Government to give a boost to the food processing industries at Saha, Rai, Narwana and Dabwali.

During the past three years, the corporation sanctioned term loans to the extent of over Rs 400 crore, of which Rs 225 crore had already been disbursed.
