Rainfall: Rain or thundershowers were reported to have occurred at many places in Jammu and Kashmir and Punjab and at isolated places in Haryana, Himachal Pradesh and east Rajasthan. Weather was repoted to be mainly dry in the rest of the region. The chief amounts of rainfall in cm are: Haryana: Narwana 3 and Hisar 2, Himachal Pradesh: Kangra, Kasauli and Sundernagar 1 each and Punjab: Halwara 3 and Ludhiana 1.

Forecast valid until the morning of September 17: Rain or thundershowers will occur at many places in Himachal Pradesh and Uttaranchal, at a few places in Haryana, Jammu and Kashmir, Punjab and east Uttar Pradesh and at isolated places in east Rajasthan and west Uttar Pradesh. Weather will be mainly dry in west Rajasthan.

Forecast for Delhi and neighbourhood valid until the morning of September 17: Partly cloudy sky with possibility of rain or thundershowers in some areas.

Farmers weather bulletin for Delhi: forecast valid until the morning of September 17: Light rain is likely at a few places.
