Another Cong rally in Faridabad on October 27
Faridabad, October 17 While the Dasehra rally was orgainsed by Haryana Labour Minister Shivcharan Sharma in the NIT Assembly constituency, the next one is being organised by Faridabad Congress MLA Anand Kaushik. The quick succession of rallies featuring the Chief Minister has raised the political temperature in Faridabad. Many attribute the rallies to competitive politics among political leaders of the district. The general feeling is that a good number of leaders of the ruling Congress are envious of Shivcharan Sharma, who won as an Independent candidate in the last Assembly election after he was denied the ticket. He defeated Congress' official nominee and stalwart AC Chaudhary. He caused heartburn among a section of Congress leaders on being inducted in Haryana's Council of Ministers even as he was a first-time MLA. Besides the Dasehra rally, Sharma had earlier also organised a successful rally which was addressed by Hooda. The general view is that he has nursed his constituency well and is the biggest crowd-puller in Faridabad. However, Kaushik rebutted reports that his proposed rally was on account of competitive politics. He, nonetheless, asserted that it would be the "biggest" political gathering in Faridabad.
