Even after one month and seven days, the district police have failed to nab the prime accused in the Vishranti, a housing project, case. The accused had developed a housing colony on a ‘disputed’ chunk of land in Singhpura village and sold plots and flats to over 250 people.

Chandigarh: Amravati Vidyalaya held its annual project day on the campus. The school authorities said the event gave students an opportunity to work on different projects and showcase their creativity. School chairman Kulwant Singh visited all classrooms and encouraged the students by appreciating their creations. Principal Ambika Menon, too, appreciated the efforts of all students and teachers.

New premises inaugurated
Chandigarh: The new premises of the Centre for IAS and Other Competitive Examinations were inaugurated at Panjab University on Saturday. While dedicating the new premises to civil services aspirants of the university, Urvashi Gulati, former Chief Secretary and presently the State Information Commissioner, Haryana, talked about her stay on the varsity, both as a student and a faculty. Gulati, who is also the chairperson of the centre’s advisory committee, appreciated the improvements and novel initiatives taken by the centre.
