Man arrested for molesting daughters

The police arrested Karnail Singh of Sloh village for allegedlly making illicit relations with his three daughters for the past many years. The victims of sexual abuse kept mum for the fear of social disgrace but now they dared to lodge a complaint against their own father.

3 booked for rape

Hariana police has booked Jasbir Singh, son of Avtar Singh of Nangal Maroof (Bulhowal), his friend Bhatti and two unknown accomplices under sections 376 G, 366 A, 363, 342, 506 and 120 B of the IPC .

Two robbers arrested

Mehtiana police arrested two robbers: Kulwinder Singh, alias Kindi and Maninder Singh. They also seized a country-made pistol, a fake pistol, a gold chain, a mobile phone, a Bullet-make motorcycle and an ATM cards from their possession.

Man arrested for molesting daughters

Nawanshahr, June 6
The police arrested Karnail Singh of Sloh village for allegedlly making illicit relations with his three daughters for the past many years. The victims of sexual abuse kept mum for the fear of social disgrace but now they dared to lodge a complaint against their own father.

The eldest daughter, who is now 23-year- old said that when she was only 12 years old, her father forcibly developed sexual relations with her. When her mother came to know about it, she got her married and kept mum so as to avoid social disgrace. But the father instead of feeling ashamed for his deeds developed sexual relations with his other two daughters as well, who are now 18 and 16 years old respectively.

The eldest daughter dared to raise her voice when she came to know that her father had been continuously molesting her younger sisters too. The police had registered a case under sections 376 IPC against the accused, said Vinod Kumar, SHO, City police station.

3 booked for rape

Hariana police has booked Jasbir Singh, son of Avtar Singh of Nangal Maroof (Bulhowal), his friend Bhatti and two unknown accomplices under sections 376 G, 366 A, 363, 342, 506 and 120 B of the IPC .

According to the police sources, a teenaged girl of Hariana town alleged that Jasbir Singh and Bhatti abducted her from her residence on May 15, 2012. They then took her to a banana godown near Sabzi Mandi where Jasbir Singh alongwith his accomplices repeatedly raped her for 10 days. On May 24, they failed to lock the door of the room from the outside at night. After they left, she escaped and narrated her woeful tale to her parents on return.

Two robbers arrested

Mehtiana police arrested two robbers: Kulwinder Singh, alias Kindi and Maninder Singh. They also seized a country-made pistol, a fake pistol, a gold chain, a mobile phone, a Bullet-make motorcycle and an ATM cards from their possession.

Couple duped

Fake travel agent duped a couple of Rs 7 lakh on pretext of sending them to Europe. Jobin Bassi, of Banta Singh Colony, Ward 7, Dasuya and Jyoti Dimpy, daughter of Ram Lubhaya of Phase I, Arjan Estate, Jalandhar took Rs 7 lakh for sending Amarjit Singh, son of Santokh Singh and his wife of Aaki Tunda, Dasuya, to Europe. Instead of sending them to Europe, they sent them to Romania on June 13, 2011. After returning to India on June 20, 2012 they asked them to return their money. But the accused refused.

Dasuya police has booked the accused under section 420 of the IPC.
