Mukerian, April 18
Students of SBCMS Polytechnic College, Mukerian, and Guru Nanak Institute of Technology, Dallewal, run by Shri Guru Nanak Educational Trust, Mukerian, today boycotted classes and held protests against the alleged highhandedness of the trustees and the management.

While the students of the Mukerian college boycotted the classes and assembled in the college premises throughout the day, students of Dallewal institute blocked the busy Dasuya-Hoshiarpur stretch of the Chandigarh-Jammu highway, disrupting traffic for about an hour.

The irate students blocked the road in Kanga Mai village near Haryana village and raised slogans against the management for hiking semester fee. The students alleged that the collage managements had marked the students absent despite of being present in the classes. Moreover, the students came to know about this just days before their final (semester) exams.
