Temple cashier ‘flees’ with cash

Jalandhar, February 5
The cashier of Shree Durga Shakti Mandir in Deol Nagar allegedly decamped with the cash and other important record books belonging to the temple, claimed committee members today.

Prem Mittal, general secretary, temple committee, alleged that the cashier took away Rs one lakh cash and other documents of the temple, including account books, cheque books, cash book and donation receipt books.

The temple committee has filed a written complaint with the Jalandhar Police Commissioner and anti-fraud wing of the police in this regard.

But no FIR has been registered by the police.

Sources said the police has carried out raids to nab the cashier.
