Five killed in road accidents

Hoshiarpur, February 1
Five persons have been killed in separate road accidents in the district since last evening.

According to the police, Surjit Singh, running a barber shop at Bassi Daulat Khan, was killed when he was hit by a car (PB 10 BV 4148) near Rorian while going to his village Manna on his bicycle after closing his shop.

Jaswinder Kaur of Kashmiri Mohalla, Hariana, who was teaching in Government School, Kang Mahi, was crushed to death by a bus (PB 07G 3979). She was going on her two-wheeler (PB 07AB 3175) to her house after attending the school.

Shinder, son of Riaz of Kehlma, died when an unidentified vehicle hit his motorcycle near Miani while he was going to his village.

Balbir Singh, son of Joginder Singh of Kalyan, died when a bus (PB 10 CF 5610) hit his motorcycle when he was going to Tanda.

Ramjit, son of Surinder Kumar of Jhuggi Colony, Talwara, died when a car (PB 07 W 6247) hit him while he was walking near his colony.

The police has registered five separate cases.
