Burglars strike at NRI's house

Burglars struck at an NRI's house located at Sher Singh Colony and decamped with ornaments and cash.

Manjeet Kaur, wife of Jagdish Singh, said that yesterday evening they had gone to pay an obeisance at a religious place. When they returned, they were stunned to see the locks of the main door broken.

She said the burglars also broken open the iron grill inside the house. "The house was ransacked. The locks of the cupboard were broken and cash and gold ornaments were missing. They also took away a laptop, fixed deposits and a passport," said the complainant. The police reached the spot to take stock of the situation.
