Scientists warn against downy mildew

Scientists at Punjab Agricultural University have warned against the downy mildew, which has been observed on muskmelon and cucurbits. The disease is visible in the form of yellow spots on the upper surface of the leaves.
Training courses for farmers
Ludhiana, May 21
The Directorate of Extension Education, PAU, Ludhiana, is organising training courses for farmers and farm women in June, 2005. Giving this information, Dr Jaswinder Bhalla, in charge, Kairon Kisan Ghar, said the training course on processing of fruits and vegetables will be held on June 6-10 and Dr Neelam Mahajan will be the course coordinator whereas Dr Pushpinder Singh will be the technical coordinator of this course.
100 B.Ed students given degrees

As many as 100 B.Ed students of Partap College of Education were conferred degrees at the annual convocation here today.

Balwant Singh, Principal, welcomed the guests and presented the annual report of

BBA, BCA students bring laurels to Khalsa College

Students of BBA (II) have done Khalsa College for Women proud by bagging the first, third and tenth positions in the examination of Panjab University held in April, 2005. Enu Arora of BBA (III) became the university topper by securing 77.53 per cent marks.

Small Wonders Nursery School, Civil Lines, Ludhiana, arranged a pool party for the school kids to beat the scorching heat. Children wearing colourful costumes and swimsuits had cool dips. The pool was full of colourful balls and water toys.
