Country’s first club to guard consumer interests set up

Grahak Sahayak, Gurgaon, has formed the first Consumer Club in the country at Vazirabad village by the initiative of Mr Sanjay
Sethi, its general secretary. In December, this club was formed when Mr Sethi organised the students of Government Model Sr Sec School

Hindon-Krishni project commissioned

The much-awaited Hindon-Krishni irrigation project was dedicated to the state on January 15 by the Irrigation Minister, Mrs Anuradha Chaudhary, at Daha village in the presence of thousands of farmers and villagers. With the commission of this project, a vast area between Hindon and
Krishni river which falls in Baghpat as well as in Muzaffarnagar districts will have the facility of irrigation during the season of kharif crops.
