Man dies of stray dog bite

Tarn Taran, October 24
Dalbir Singh (57), a junior engineer (JE) of the Punjab State Power Corporation (Powercom), died today as he was bitten by some stray dog about two months ago.

He breathed his last at a Amritsar hospital today morning. The city police has lodged a report under Section 174 CrPC in this regard.

According to the information, Dalbir Singh was on his duty of power checking along with his other team members when the incident occurred.

He took it causally and did not take any proper medical treatment. Yesterday, he complained of uneasiness in his throat and was admitted at a hospital in Amritsar where he died today.
