Eight stolen motor cycles recovered

Tarn Taran, June 13
A police party of the local CIA staff arrested two members of a vehicle-lifter gang from a naka point in the border area and recovered eight stolen motor cycles from them.

A case was registered against the accused.

Raj Jit Singh Hundal, SSP, said here today that the accused had been identified as Kamal Singh of Sangha village and Mohinder Singh of Kot Mit Singh (Amritsar).

The SSP said the accused were arrested from Cheema Khurd village with a stolen motor cycle and the other seven bikes were recovered on the information provided by them. The accused stole all vehicles from outside religious places at different places, said the police.

The accused were lodged in Central Jail, Amritsar, where both came to know each other.

A knife, too, was recovered from their possession.
