Following the recovery of a body of Pawan Kumar (32), a Nawanshahr resident, who had been missing from Chack Fallu village since February 7, the Garhshankar police has added Sections 302 and 201 of the IPC in the case.

Pawan Kumar's body was found near a culvert at Bakapur village last evening.

Pawan Kumar was as a tractor driver and worked for Kashmiri Lal. He had gone to Nawanshahr to bring dry fodder in the tractor-trailer. While returning in the night, one of the tyres of the tractor-trailer got punctured near Chack Fallu.

Parking the tractor on the roadside, Pawan spent the night at the spot.

Next morning when he did not return, his father, Karam Chand, went to Chack Fallu and found him missing. A blood stained quilt was found on the spot.

As Karam Chand suspected that his son might have been kidnapped, he lodged a complaint with the police which registered a case under Section 364 (kidnapping in order to murder) of the IPC.
