List of oil outlets cancelled in northern region

The two-member judicial committee has recommended to the Supreme Court the cancellation of a total of 54 oil outlets in three northern states of Punjab, Haryana and Himachal Pradesh, allegedly made to close relatives and friends of NDA leaders by the previous government.

According to the list submitted to the apex court, by the committee, in Punjab a total of 37 cases were reviewed and 29 were recommended for cancellation.

Those are of Surinder Singh, Gurpreet Singh (Bhatinda), Chanderkanta Bhatia (Faridkot), Balwant Rai (Sangrur), Kavit Rani, Jaijeet Singh Jauhal, Raj Kumar (Ferozepore), U .R. Aggarwal, Tejinder Singh (Nawanshahar), Suman Lata, Sumit Chalia, Sumit Chalia, Naginder Gupta (all Patiala), Ruby Sekhri, Rani Gauba, Virinder Deep Singh Bedi (Gurdaspur), Tirlochan Singh Tur, Rajesh Madan (Amritsar), Manu Sahnan, Manoj Kumar, Parminder Kaur, Manmohan Singh, Reena Rani, Pawan Kumar Garag, Harsharan Kaur (Ludhiana), Vijay Kumar (Chandigarh), Arvind Dhumal, Anurag Singh Thakur, Anil Thaman (Jalandhar), Manjit Kaur (Fategarh Sahib).

Most of these persons are alleged to be closely linked to BJP and Akali leaders, but from the list their connections could not be clearly established.

Of the 21 allottees scrutinised in Haryana, the 14 cancelled cases included that of Nirmala Sharma, Suresh Kumar, Arvind Kumar (Sirsa), Rahul Yadav (Rewari), Reena Gupta, Om Prakash Dhankar (Bhiwani), Ajitabh Phogat, Ashok Kumar, Anil Kumar (Rohtak), Gurmej Singh (Kurukshetra), Rameshwar Chauhan, Shalini Dhir (Yamunanagar), Banto Devi (Kaithal) and Ghanshyam Das (Jind).

Following are the 11 of the 16 allotments cancelled in Himachal Pradesh: Pushpa Devi Bragta, Anurag Kashyap (Shimla), Indu Thakur, Vandna Pathania, Anita Kumari Sndal (Kangra), Desh Raj, Rajesh Kumar, Vinod Thakur (Hamirpur), Laxmi Devi (Una), Mahesh Kumar and Ritu Sethi (Solan).

Among the other states, where “tainted allotments” were found by the committee, include Maharashtra (51), Rajasthan (37), Uttar Pradesh (33), Bihar (26), Andhra Pradesh (24), Karnataka (22), Gujarat (10), Jharkhand (9) and one in Orissa.
