Seven held for cheating lottery customers

In a major crackdown, seven persons involved in fake lottery scam were arrested by the local police from Nayagaon today. A sum of Rs 42,000 was recovered from them.

Driver involved in mishap held

The police today arrested Amrik Singh, a resident of Lohgarh in Pinjore, for allegedly crushing Mahesh Kumar to death under his canter near Ambedkar Colony, Phase I, Panchkula. According to the police, the driver had fled from the spot leaving behind the vehicle after the mishap.
