Rainfall: Rain or thundershowers have occurred at isolated places in east Rajasthan. Weather was mainly dry in the rest of the region.

Temperatures: Past 24 hours change: Maximum temperatures rose in Haryana and Punjab and changed little elsewhere. Departure: This was appreciably above normal in Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Punjab, east Uttar Pradesh and Uttaranchal, above normal in west Uttar Pradesh and normal in Rajasthan. The highest temperature in the region was 45.9°C recorded at Sriganganagar (Rajasthan).

Forecast valid until the morning of May 14: Rain/thundershowers are likely at isolated places in Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir and Punjab. Isolated duststorms/thunderstorms are likely in Haryana, Rajasthan and west Uttar Pradesh. Weather will be mainly dry in the rest of the region.

Forecast for Delhi and neighbourhood valid until the morning of May 14: Partly cloudy sky with possibility of thundery development accompanied with squall in some areas. Maximum temperature will be around 40°C.
