Poor show by govt schools

Government schools have fared poorly in the CBSE Class XII exams. Of the 37 government schools, comprising 22 model senior secondary schools and 15 non-model schools, only one school -- Government Model Senior Secondary School (MHC), Mani Majra, has been able to achieve a 100 per cent result. Government Model Senior Secondary School, Sarangpur, recorded the lowest pass percentage of 27.06.

Upset over poor performance in the Class XII exams, the daughter of a UT head constable allegedly attempted suicide by hanging herself from a ceiling fan this afternoon. The girl had scored 66 per cent marks.
