10 held under NDPS Act

In its drive against anti-social elements, the district police arrested 10 persons including a woman and seized poppy husk, intoxicated powder, banned capsules and liquor etc. from them.

The police arrested Sohan Lal of Pandori Ganga Singh village and seized 5 Kg poppy husk from him. Tanda and Garhdiwala police arrested Bholi Tanda and Harjidner Singh and seized 100 gram intoxicated powder from them.

While patrolling in Tajpur village, Hariana police intercepted a motorcycle and seized 260 gram intoxicated powder from its occupants Ramesh Kumar,Gagandeep Singh and Jatinder Singh. Mehtiana police arrested Hardeep Singh of Ajnoha village and seized 8 Kg poppy husk from him.

Mahilpur police arrested Balwinder Pal Singh of Chansu Brahmna village and seized 260 gram intoxicated powder from him. City police arrested Varun Kumar of Mohalla Gobindgarh, Bahadurpur village and seized 432 intoxicated capsules and 23 bottles of whisky from him.

All the accused were booked under relevant Sections of the NDPS Act and a separate case has been registered against Varun Kumar for possessing unauthorized liquor.
