New Delhi, May 27 In the other two disciplines, Nikhil Chaturvedi is the highest scorer with 97 pc (485/500 marks) in science and has secured cent pc in physics while Rene Sharanaya Verma who has received 100 marks in psychology, has bagged the first position in humanities with 98 pc (490/500 marks). Like elsewhere, in Delhi too where a total 2,58,954 students took the board exams, girls have posted better pass percentage, with 98,185 girls clearing the exams as compared to 96,916 boys. Among those who scored a complete 100 marks in one or more subjects is also the daughter of Deputy Chief Minister of Punjab Sukhbir Badal and Bathinda MP Harsimrat Badal. The 17-year-old Harkirat Kaur Badal, a student of Vasant Valley School, secured a 100 in psychology and a total percentage of 94 pc in the CBSE board exams. As far results from the Delhi government schools, Ankit Saini of Rajkiya Pratibha Vikas Vidyalaya has topped. Saini scored 97.4 per cent and was the overall topper in the national Capital. Lalit Lakra of SV School in Paschim Vihar was the topper in science with 96.2 per cent while Momina Sheikh of Shakti Nagar and Diksha of Nangloi topped in arts stream with 95.2 per cent and Taruna with 92.8 per cent topped the vocational stream in Delhi government schools. |

New Delhi, May 27 The improvement in the results of the Delhi region is 1.38 per cent. The pass percentage of the Delhi government schools is 88.65 per cent followed by Punchkula with 85.32 per cent and Chennai with 64.68 per cent. Last year, the percentage was 87.72 which has gone up to 88.65 this year. "The real credit goes to the principals, teachers and officers of the Directorate of Education. The devotion and hard work of the principals and teachers have resulted in this improvement. The number of government schools has recorded 100 per cent results," said Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit. The pass percentage of Rajkiya Pratibha Vikas Vidyalayas (RPVVs) in Delhi is 99.05 which is better than 97.56 of Kendriya Vidyalays in Delhi. Similarly, the pass percentage of RPVVs of Delhi is eight per cent better than that of public schools in Delhi. |

New Delhi, May 27 She lives with her family. Her father works in Kolkata. Her mother had gone to a bank and her 10-year-old brother was playing in a nearby park, according to the police. The victim told the police that she was having a bath when Alam allegedly barged into the house. He allegedly thrashed and gagged her before the rape. Angry over the girl's condition, locals began to search for Alam in the neighbourhood. "About two hours after the crime, he was found in a park in Dilshad Colony," the officer said. The accused was cornered by the locals and beaten up before being handed over to the police. |

New Delhi, May 27 Her parents said that she was upset over scoring less marks in the exams. The police found the girl with blood trickling from her nose and mouth. She was rushed to AIIMS, where doctors declared her dead.
