Interestingly, the newly elected Mayor, who is known for his clean and non-controversial image, sat at the office entry and “welcomed” all the latecomers. |

‘Tantrik’ murders cousin to hide his affair

In yet another case of killing by ‘tantrik’, a 27- year- old youth stabbed his cousin to death and threw his body into the Sirhind Branch Canal, near Dehlon. The victim had visited his ‘tantrik’ cousin to find a cure to his falling business.

9 test positive for dengue

Nine more patients have tested positive for dengue. According to the District Epidemiologist, Dr Puneet
Juneja, four patients are from Ludhiana, two from Ferozepur, one from Hoshiarpur and one each from Jalandhar and
Mansa. He added a total of 55 dengue cases had been reported in Ludhiana this season.
