Abohar
Armyman held with 1-kg opium: An Armyman, Baljeet Singh, was arrested by the police here after the seizure of a kg of opium from his possession. Posted in Jodhpur, Baljeet was nabbed from Kallarkhera village bus stop during routine checking by the police. The bus stop is situated on the Abohar-Sriganganagar road. Preliminary investigations indicated that he was on his way to Khushal village in Beas sub-division of Amritsar. A case under various sections of the NDPS Act has been registered.
