Minor girl abused: A minor Dalit girl was allegedly sexually abused on the pretext of marriage by a boy of her community at Gidderbaha town. The Gidderbaha police has registered a case against the accused, Goldy Kumar, under Section 376 of the IPC. The accused is yet to be arrested. The medical examination of the victim was conducted at the Civil Hospital.

Rajouri
Students return from tour: Twenty-five students from far-flung areas of Rajouri district returned from a nine-day motivational and education tour today. The tour was held under the Operation Sadbhavana of 25 Artillery Brigade, Rajouri. The tour was organised to showcase the development of the country to the rural youth. The youngsters and two teachers from Rajouri district visited several places in Delhi, Jaipur and Kota and met with President Pratibha Patil. — OC
