Police seizes 35 vehicles in Valley: The police on Tuesday claimed to have seized 35 vehicles, including 11 four-wheelers and 24 bikes. The police said the vehicles were recovered from different parts of the Valley during various operations.Taxi driver
found dead:
Bashir Ahmed, a taxi driver from Srinagar, was found dead in his vehicle in Tangmarg near the tourist resort of
Gulmarg. The police said the cause of his death was natural. Bashir had gone to the tourist spot on Monday night along with a group of tourists. His body was later handed over to his family after a postmortem.

Land dispute claims life:
One person was killed over a land dispute between two groups of villagers of the Kitcha area, Udham Singh Nagar, on Monday. The groups were led by Arvind and Rampal. Rampal sustained serious injuries in the clash and died while being treated. The police has arrested Arvind.Youth killed in mishap:
A youth was killed while three others were injured in a road accident in the Jaspur area of Udham Singh Nagar on Monday. The accident took place when a small vehicle carrying passengers to Kashipur was hit by a truck coming from behind near Bailjudi Mod. The deceased has been identified as Sartaj Ahmed (28). The injured have been admitted to a government hospital in Kashipur.Electric pole falls on rickshaw-puller:
A rickshaw puller was killed when an electric pole fell on him in Pantnagar. The incident took place when Surendra (40) was resting in his rickshaw. He was taken to the health centre on the premises of the Gobind Ballabh Pant University of Agriculture and Technology, where he was declared brought dead.Girl commits suicide:
A 17-year-old girl, a resident of Khatima, Udham Singh Nagar, committed suicide by consuming some poisonous substance at her house. She was taken to a private hospital in Haldwani, where she died on Monday. According to information, Radha took this extreme step after she being scolded by her father over some trivial issue. She was a student of class X.Probe sought into deaths of tigers:
Wildlife activists in the Ramnagar area, Nainital, have demanded a probe by an independent agency into the recurring deaths of tigers in Jim Corbett National Park and its surrounding areas. A large number activists also staged a demonstration on Monday and gheraoed the office of a senior wildlife official. Later, they took out a procession under the banner of Bagh Bachao Samiti.
