UKD lambasts government
Mussoorie, February 22 certificates. Panwar said the government, instead of issuing caste certificates to original inhabitants, was doling these out to outsiders. He said the BJP Government was not adhering to its own policy of providing caste certificates to people who had been residing in the state since 1950. It was doing so for vote-bank politics. Panwar said the UKD would make this issue an electoral one and expose the conspiracy behind it. He said national parties like the Congress and the BJP, by using money and muscle power, were bent upon decimating the regional forces in the state so that their monopoly of ruling the state on interchangeable basis remained intact. The recent developments in the UKD were a living example. He further resolved not to align with any national party in future as national parties were prejudiced towards the increase in popularity of the UKD in the state. He also stated that the BJP and the Congress were two sides of the same coin as one was involved in looting the state and the other was working to cover its misdeeds. Panwar also said the Vikas Yatra was a sham and only the the Chief Minister’s coterie had developed under the BJP rule. The Congress too was playing with the sentiments of people by organising Virodh Yatras, Panwar added. He said the UKD would also take out its own yatra and expose both the parties in April. |
