Collective SMS for effective policing

2 motorcyclists snatch purse

Two motorcyclists snatched a purse from a woman in Sector 38. The victim, Surjit Kaur, of Sector 38-West reported to the police that she was travelling in a rickshaw on September 30 when two youngsters on a motorcycle snatched her purse and sped away.

Guard held for thrashing photojournalist

The police today arrested a resident of Indira Colony on the charges of assaulting a photojournalist in IT Park a few days ago. The police said a case of causing hurt, criminal intimidation and common intension under Sections 323, 506 and 34 of the Indian Penal Code had been registered on a complaint filed by Ravi Kumar, a photojournalist, with a Hindi daily.
