Shooting range in college opens today

There is a good news for city shooting aspirants as the stage is set for the first private shooting range, which will be functional at S.D. Government College for boys from tomorrow.
Shooting that is considered to be “the men's domain” is actually a brain-child of college-going girl.
Swapanpreet Kaur, who is doing a diploma in physical education (DPEd) will open the shooting academy.

Cross subsidy on account of power tariff is increasing each year, said the Apex Chamber of Commerce and Industry here today. President of the chamber
P.D. Sharma said as per tariff regulation 2005 announced by the electricity regulatory commission, the cross subsidy element has to be eliminated by 2015. "However, cross subsidy level is increasing year after year. In 2002-03, it was 31 paisa per unit, but rose to 43 paise between 2005 and 2007."
