Man beaten
to death: Devi Lal (22), son of Mani Ram Megwal, was allegedly beaten to death with lathis at Daba village in the neighbouring Sriganganagar area on Wednesday. Devi Lal was running a garment shop at Jaipur. Some love affair was stated
to be reason for the crime. Two brothers have been booked under Section 302, IPC.

Prize distribution function:
The Punjab Public School, Ropalon, 10 km from here, is celebrating its annually prize distribution function on the school promises on Nov 30. Annual function: The annual prize distribution function of the local Prem Sabha Senior Secondary School, Prem Sabha Shishu Niketan High School, and Prem Sabha National High School concluded here on Wednesday evening. Mr S.R. Ladhar, Deputy Commissioner, was the chief guest on the occasion. Mr Ladhar distributed prizes among the students and announced a grant of Rs 50,000 for the school library and computer laboratory. He also announced Rs 5,000 each for the students who had participated in the national level sports’ competitions.
