CPMT leak: parents go into hiding
Shimla, November 18 Even the two persons from Delhi and Ambala, who were expected to surrender before the police late last night, have had a change of mind. The parents of these two candidates had informed the police about their decision to surrender but it appears that they have decided otherwise. Even though police teams have been sent to Mandi, Dharamsala and Chandigarh to arrest the parents of other candidates, yet all of them are untraceable. The Himachal Police has also got the custody of Jaijeet, the machine man who got the question paper out from Maxwell Printing Press in Lucknow. He had been arrested by the Punjab Police and is wanted by both states. After the initial arrest of parents of six candidates who benefited from the paper leak, it was being expected that all 38 parents who allegedly bought the question paper would be arrested. “It appears that all of them would decide their future course of action after seeing the outcome of the bail plea of the six arrested parents,” said a police official. The SP, Mr A.P. Singh, said the judgement of the bail plea by Mr Kuldeep Rao and others had now been reserved for Monday. As such the parents who could have surrendered were now likely to wait for the judgement on the bail plea of the arrested parents. |
