Report on case of harassment submitted
Chandigarh, November 18
Seven days after the alleged harassment of a Sector 16 Government Model Senior Secondary School girl, the UT District Education Officer Kamla Bains has reportedly submitted the preliminary inquiry report to the Director, Public Instructions (S), Ashwani Kumar, only to be submitted to UT Home Secretary Krishan Mohan.
68-yr-old’s ordeal to get back ‘kidnapped’ son
Chandigarh, November 18
His declining health fails to dent his determination to get back his “kidnapped” mentally challenged 26-year-old son from the “custody” of a Mumbai-based taxi driver.

Boy dies in mishap
Chandigarh, November 18
A teenaged migrant labourer from Bihar who had come to the city in search of a job was seriously hurt in a road accident after being hit by a vehicle on the road dividing Sectors 34 and 21, here, this evening.

Rs 3 lakh for orphaned girl
Mohali, November 18
Nearly Rs 3 lakh were collected through donations to help Isha, a five-year-old girl, who lost her parents and brother in a road accident in September.

A day of unbridled fun for 150 poor kids, courtesy Rotary

Neither the showers in the day, nor the subsequent chilly nip in the evening air could dampen the enthusiasm of the 150-odd children coming from economically weaker sections of
Uchai, Mauli Jagran and Bapu Dham, who gathered at the Rock Garden for an evening of fun, feast and fiesta.
