Rainfall: Rain/thundershowers have occurred at many places in east Rajasthan, at a few places in west Rajasthan, east Uttar Pradesh and Uttaranchal and at isolated places in Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir and Punjab. Weather was dry in the rest of the region. The chief amounts of rainfall in cms are: Himachal Pradesh: Shimla 2, Jammu and Kashmir: Bhaderwah 2, East Rajasthan: Kotda 9, Mavli and Mount Abu 6 each, Gogunda and Mandawar 5 each, Chikli, Sallumber and Salopat 3 each, Aspur, Kesarpura and Sirohi 2 each and Arthuna, Bagidora, Bhungra,Garhi, Kushalgarh, Neemrana, Nathdwara, Nithuwa, Pindwara, Revdar and Sajangarh 1 each, West Rajasthan: Sedwa 6, Bhinmal and Raniwara 3 each, Chotan, Jaswantpura and Sanchore 2 each and Bagoda, Gadraroad and Jalore 1 each, East Uttar Pradesh: Bhinga, Hanumansetu and Kakardharighat 1 each and Uttaranchal: Srinagar 3 and Marora and Tehri 1 each.

Forecast valid until the morning of August 15: Rain/thundershowers are likely at a few places in Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, south Rajasthan, south Uttar Pradesh and Uttaranchal and at isolated places in the rest of the region.

Forecast for Delhi and neighbourhood valid until the morning of August 15: Warm and humid day. Partly cloudy sky with possibility of light rain/thundershowers towards evening in some areas.

Outlook for the subsequent two days: Rainfall activity in Haryana, west Uttar Pradesh and Rajasthan is likely to increase. No large change in the rest of the region.

Earthquake report: An earthquake of moderate intensity having its magnitude 5.0 on the Richter’s Scale occurred at 02 hours 16 minutes IST on 13.8.2006 with its epicentre at latitude 24.2N, longitude 92.8E in India-Bangladesh border region.
