Rainfall: Rain/thundershowers have occurred at many places in east Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh and at a few places in Haryana, west Rajasthan and Uttaranchal. Weather was dry in the rest of the region. The chief amounts of rainfall in cm. are: Haryana: Rewari 2 and New Delhi (Safdarjung) 1, East Rajasthan: Bassi 7, Amer 6, Jaipur and Shahpura 5 each, Phagi, Sanganer and Thanagaji 3 each, Amet, Bakani, Pirawa and Viratnagar 2 each and Ajmer, Chamu, Hindown, Khanpur, Kotputli, Pisangan, Masuda and Sarwar 1 each, West Rajasthan: Churu, Dungargarh and Nokha 1 each, East Uttar Pradesh: Bahraich and Neemsar 4 each, Kakardharighat 3, Sultanpur and Shardanagar 2 each and Bani, Elginbridge and Kanpur 1 each, West Uttar Pradesh: Bareilly and Jhansi 2 each and Hindon 1 and Uttaranchal: Rishikesh 3 and Pantnagar 2.

Temperature: Past 24 hours change: The maximum temperatures fell markedly in west Uttar Pradesh, fell appreciably in Haryana and Uttaranchal, fell in Himachal Pradesh, Punjab and east Uttar Pradesh and changed little elsewhere. Departure: They were markedly above normal in Jammu and Kashmir above normal in Himachal Pradesh, apprecably below normal in west Uttar Pradesh, below normal in east Uttar Pradesh and Uttaranchal and normal in the rest of the region. The highest maximum temperature in the region was 46.9°C recorded at Sriganganagar (Rajasthan).

Forecast valid until the morning of June 26: Rain/thundershowers will occur at many places in Uttar Pradesh and Uttaranchal, at a few places in Haryana and Himachal Pradesh and at isolated places in Punjab. Duststorm/thunderstorm is likely at a few places in Rajasthan. Isolated thunder-squalls are likely in Uttar Pradesh and Uttaranchal. Weather will be mainly dry in Jammu and Kashmir.

Forecast for Delhi and neighbourhood valid until the morning of June 26: Generally cloudy sky with possibility of rain/thundershowers in some areas. The maximum temperature will be around 38°C.

Outlook for the subsequent two days: No large change.
