Rainfall: Rain/snow has occurred at a few places in Himachal Pradesh and at isolated places in Jammu and Kashmir. Rain/thundershowers have occurred at isolated places in east Rajasthan and east Uttar Pradesh. Weather was mainly dry in the rest of the region. The chief amounts of precipitation in cm are: Himachal Pradesh: Bhang, Dhundhi and Sunnibhaji each.

Temperature: Past 24 hours change: The maximum temperatures rose in Himachal Pradesh and Punjab and changed little elsewhere.

Departures: These were appreciably below normal in Haryana, Punjab, west Rajasthan, below normal in Jammu and Kashmir and Uttaranchal and normal in the rest of the region. The highest maximum temperature in the region was 36.8°C recorded at Gorakhpur (Uttar Pradesh).

Past 24 hours change: The minimum temperature changed a little. Departure: They were below normal in Himachal Pradesh and Punjab and normal in the rest of the region. The lowest minimum temperature in the plains was 9.6°C recorded at Amritsar.

Forecast valid until the morning of March 26: Rain/thundershowers are likely at a few places in Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir and Uttaranchal and at isolated places in Uttar Pradesh. Weather will be mainly dry in the rest of the region.

Forecast for Delhi and neighbourhood valid until the morning of March 26: Partly cloudy sky with the possibility of thundry development in some areas. The maximum and minimum temperatures will be around 31°C and 16°C .
