Govt gives a go ahead to VAT from April 1

The uncertainty over the introduction of value added tax (VAT) in the state from April 1 is over and the business community has been told to be prepared for switch over to the new tax regime.
Indication to this effect was given by the Punjab Excise and Taxation Minister Mr Sardool Singh at a joint meeting with functionaries of Punjab Tax Bar Association
(PTBA) and the District Taxation Bar Associations from several districts, including Ludhiana, at Chandigarh on Wednesday.

Rally against poor sewerage
