Past 24 hours change: The maximum temperatures rose markedly in Jammu and Kashmir, rose in Uttar Pradesh, fell in Haryana and west Rajasthan and changed little elsewhere.
Departures:
They were appreciably above normal in Himachal Pradesh and Uttaranchal, above normal in Uttar Pradesh and east Rajasthan, below normal in Punjab and normal in the rest of the region. The highest maximum temperature in the region was 35.6°C recorded at Jhalawar (Rajasthan).

The minimum temperatures rose in east Rajasthan and changed little elsewhere.

They were appreciably above normal in Haryana, Rajasthan and east Uttar Pradesh, above normal in west Uttar Pradesh and Uttaranchal and normal in the rest of the region. The lowest minimum temperature in the plains was 9.2°C recorded at Amritsar (Punjab).
