Rainfall: Rain or thundershowers occurred at isolated places in Jammu and Kashmir. Weather was dry in the rest of the region.

Temperatures: Past 24 hours change: Maximum temperatures rose in Jammu and Kashmir and west Uttar Pradesh and changed little elsewhere.

Departure: This was appreciably above normal in Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Punjab, Rajasthan and east Uttar Pradesh and above normal in the rest of the region. The highest temperature in the region was 42°C, recorded at Allahabad.

Forecast valid until the morning of April 14: Rain/ thundershowers are likely at a few places in Jammu and Kashmir and isolated places in Himachal Pradesh, Punjab and Uttaranchal. Isolated duststorms/thunderstorms are likely in the rest of the region.

Forecast for Delhi and neighbourhood valid until the morning of April 14: Mainly clear sky. Maximum temperature will be around 39°C.
