2 held for cheating ICICI Bank

The Economic Offences Wing claimed to have arrested two persons who had cheated the ICICI Bank out of Rs 60 lakh by selling the hypothecated vehicles on the basis of forged documents.

Kalka Mail held up due to bomb hoax
Dadri, April 12
The New Delhi-Howrah 2312 Dn Kalka Mail was held up here for three hours on account of a bomb hoax. The train was emptied and the police, bomb disposal and dog squads were pressed into service to examine the compartments and baggage of passengers.

A fire broke which out in a jhuggi cluster near Rajghat today, claimed the life of a child and injured a number of dwellers. Thousands of jhuggis were destroyed in the devastating fire. With the beginning of summer, the incidents of fire have increased in the Capital.

New Delhi: The University of Delhi would observe holiday on Wednesday, April 14 on account of the birth anniversary of late Dr B. R. Ambedkar, the Deputy Controller of the Examination, Mr B.N. Even after eight months, the Delhi University is maintaining a silence over the issue of Rs 30 lakh, given to six newly appointed teachers, reportedly without the knowledge of the head of the department.

Injured thieves escape from hospital
Noida, April 12
The police launched a hunt for the thieves who had been nabbed by the villagers and beaten up. The injured criminals had been admitted to a private hospital in Sector 27 and were later shifted to the government hospital in Sector 30. They escaped from the hospital.
